New Final Holiday Order Date feature
Nov 24th, 2007 | By Max Leisten | Category: Amazon Announcements, Amazon FeaturesThe holidays brings out the best and worst in people. If you’re eager to only see the best in your Amazon.com buyers then the new Final Holiday Order Date feature is a must-do. When configured in your Shipping Setting within your store’s Information & Policies section, the Product Detail Page (if you own the Buy Box) will display a link to your shipping details so that buyers can determine what shipping option they need to select to assure delivery by December 24th.

If buyers add your product from the Product Listing Page they will be notified during checkout if it’s going to be a good Christmas or if they better run out to the local store.
- If the customer orders before your last order date:
“Ordering for the holidays? Your items will arrive no later than December 24.”- If the customer orders after your last order date:
Your item(s) will arrive after December 24. Delivery estimates are based on <merchant name>’s shipping estimates. Choosing a faster delivery option might help get it (them) there in time for the holidays.- Finally, when December 24 lies within the promised delivery date range:
“Your item(s) may not arrive by December 24. Please check <merchant names>’s last order dates for the holidays. You may want to choose a faster delivery option, if available. Learn more.”
Only available in the US at this time. You can view more information and instructions on how to configure the feature at Amazon.
