Amazon in the news - Week 29
Jul 27th, 2008 | By Max Leisten | Category: Amazon 101, Amazon International, Amazon NewsNot much news around Amazon this week asides from the blockbuster Q2 2008 financial results which I have already talked about. I also still plan on summarizing Day 3 of the Amazon Seller Conference that concluded this past Monday. Two interesting items though that are worth checking out:
- Amazon UK Managing Director Brian McBride was interviewed about Amazon’s great quarter on BBC TV. No big news but if you’re selling in the UK it can only help to know how he looks like so that you can introduce yourself should the opportunity arise.
- Amazon US has published a series of new video tutorials to assist with most common tasks to be performed by Seller Central merchants (thx to Randy for the pointer). I saw a video on tax configuration but I am not certain that is available to all merchants (one of the biggest challenges that retailers selling on Amazon have).
