Amazon shipping options

Oct 15th, 2008 | By Max Leisten | Category: Seller Insight

The BrewsNews blog occasionally covers Amazon.com selling best practices with a focus on eBay sellers aiming to diversify to this channel. One area that causes a lot of confusion is shipping charges — what options are available to which type of merchant. This recent article does a good job of covering the two types of shipping calculations, item/weight-based and shipping bands, available to non-media online retailers on Amazon.com.

Note that as a non-media Amazon Seller Central retailer you can also override any shipping when you list your product using the “Shipping Override”. This may come in handy when one of your SKUs deviates significantly in weight, dimensions or value from your main product lines.
