Good Amazon buyer communication

A high-degree of customer service is an absolute must on Amazon. Well, really with any transaction, online and offline. But while it is simple to do when you have the means to automate it, still not a lot of Amazon 3P sellers use every opportunity to touch the buyer to (a) ensure they know what is going on and leave you good feedback and (b) make a brand impression.

If you want to know what this could look like, here’s a good actual example of an email sent by an Amazon seller to a fellow ChannelAdvisor co-worker:

Dear [buyer],

Thank you again for your recent order from [merchant]! Your support is greatly appreciated!

According to our records, your order for [product] should have arrived by now.

We just wanted to check and make sure you that you were completely satisfied with your order. If there is any problem or for some reason you have not received your order yet, simply e-mail us at [email address] and let us know how we can help. We will work quickly and promptly with you to resolve any problem to your satisfaction. Please include the SKU, which is located on [placement], and your order number with any inquiry. This will help expedite our service to you.

Our Amazon feedback rating is vitally important to us. If you have not already left feedback and are satisfied with your order, we would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to leave us a positive rating. To do so simply follow these easy steps:

1) Go to http://www.amazon.com/buyer-feedback/

2) Under “Where’s My Stuff?” click the round ‘Go’ button to the right of View By Order: “Open and recently shipped orders”

3) Find the order(s) from us and Click on the “View Order” tab next to it.

4) Click on the blue “Leave Seller Feedback” link located below the shipping information at the left.

(By the way: Please do not use Amazon feedback as a way to let us know about problems with your order. E-mailing us will get a much faster response. We are always eager to find a way to resolve problems and earn a five-star rating from you.)
